Each game in the PIX-NEON series represents life moments in a human's existence. In this case, Mardroid's existence.

The following letters will give you insight into the story we've been trying to tell...

PIX-NEON BEAT is the first step into life that Mardroid takes. You'll note in the opening cutscene that he is flying freely through the aether, completely unhindered by any sort of physically.

Each level represents various stages in Mardroid's transformation from an ethereal being to a corporeal one.

In Conversion, he has to deal with the unfamiliarity of physicality, as represented by the enormity of the comets and asteroids. Towards the end of the level, he sees other people returning from the corporeal and becoming ethereal again.

In Molten, he has passed the point of no return and is caught up in the pull physical conception--after which. In Lobe, his actaul body begins to develop.
